HFoS launch party photos: setting up
This is a bit late. I meant to get these up straight after the launch, but I had to clean up and deliver bikes back to people on the Saturday, and then I had to leave town real early Sunday morning to get to the ferry in time for my ride around the North Island with Malcolm. It was all a bit of a bloody whirlwind! But thanks to everyone who showed up, it was a great night and I think everyone pretty much agreed on that. Thanks to those of you who showed up for the ride too! I was expecting it'd just be me and some friends and it was so great to roll up and see a whole bunch of unfamiliar bikes and faces. I really want to organise more rides now. But yeah anyway here's some of the photos I have. PZ has a bunch more. I don't have any of Planet of The Tapes and the ones here of The Grand Saloon playing are just stills from Stuart's video... will edit some video together at some point too – there's some of us riding there, and then some good stuff of the bands. To start with here's some of us getting the bikes there etc...

NZ Launch Party!
The long-awaited NZ launch for 'Head Full of Snakes' issue #1 will be held in Lyttelton on Friday the 13th of January. My advice would be to do your best to be there. These zines have been selling like hot-cakes following our launch in Melbourne, and this may be your best chance of actually getting your hands on a copy! (We have kept a bunch aside especially for this launch party and for NZ customers).
It'll be part bike show, part BBQ, part beer drinkin, part gig, and ALL mongrel-motorcycle-magazine action. A bunch of us will be riding over together from Christchurch, if you wanna join us meet up at Johnny Moore's new joint, Smash Palace, on the corner of Victoria St. and Bealey Ave. at 5.30pm. All welcome, you don't need any fancy kinda bike to join in.
The actual launch will be at 6.30pm at 'The Roastery' (the garage where Oscar Guerrero cooks up the coffee beans for the Lyttelton Coffee Company... there's a big carpark all around it that we can fill up with bikes) at approximately No.10 Canterbury St., Lyttelton. (In case of bad weather we will move into the rebuilt Lyttelton Coffee Company cafe building.)
Bands will start about 8pm and run til late... bring your dancing shoes, and if you get too drunk we can lock up your bike in the Roastery over night so you can pick it up the next day. So no excuse not to party!

Kick starting the new year...
6 Over - Kick Start from Wild Honey Productions on Vimeo.
This is great! From the dudes at Dice. My Norton has just about broken my leg/foot/ankle a few times this year. I'm hoping it's sorted now that I've got the battery and ignition a bit more sussed, but won't know shit til I get my carb rebuilt. The post here has been fucked since the last big quake just before xmas, but hopefully that stuff'll arrive soon...
Been working on organising the New Zealand launch for the mag and it's shaping up to be a real party! Posters available soon, lemme know if you want one... printing them in 2 colours on the riso, A3 size. Will have the design and info up on here soon.

On Holiday. NZ launch Fri 13 Jan!
Merry Xmas jerks. I'm on holiday, but am working on organising a New Zealand launch for Head Full of Snakes issue #1 in Christchurch (the most rockin' place in all of NZ!) on FRIDAY THE 13TH of January. Sorry about the wait, I didn't quite imagine the mag taking off in the way it has, and had thought a bit of a gap between the Aussie launch and the NZ launch wouldn't be a big deal? But yeah, I know a bunch of you NZ-based losers really wanna get yer mits on a copy and some of you have been buying them from the site at the Aussie-based 'international' price... Thanks for buying it if you have already, but hold on if you haven't. It'll be a bit cheaper to buy it from NZ after the launch in Jan.
Hey we're a bunch of fucking amatuers!

Issue #1 is done! (mostly...)
Thanks to everyone who supported us last week and who came to the launch on Saturday, it's been a pretty fuckin' epic process! We only had about 85 copies bound and ready at the launch, but we collated the rest yesterday and they'll be getting bound next weekend. Big thanks to Simoen who helped collate both times (Friday night AND Sunday). Thanks also to Alice, and sorry about fucking you around a bit on Saturday morning? Big thanks to Penny too, who basically single-handedly organised the launch while Stuart and I were binding with Brad. Brad was/is totally awesome and deserves something overly-awesome for his help! Thanks also to everyone who showed up yesterday to finish the collating. That was a massive job, only made possible by y'all! Will get a couple of photos from the launch up soon (I just didn't get many actually cause I was so busy at it – anyone else get some? Esp of the BBQ area?) ...
While we were working on the mag, Chris was next door working on Stuart's Norton. He did get it going for the launch although not actually rideable, and it needs some engine work now, BUT it was a great end to the night when Stuart kicked it over in the gallery. That got Christian all heat up and so he did a burn out in the gallery on his 350! We then had a great time watching him spend the next half an hour trying to clean the tyre marks off the floor. Good shit! Big thanks to Christian for letting us use bikes from his shop to show in the gallery/launch space too. It looked pretty fuckin' awesome!

Head Full of Snakes getting loads of hype here in Melbourne thanks to Penny @ The Thousands, and was great to meet Geoff from 'Return of the Cafe Racers' today. Hoping we get this damn printing done for the launch in time! It's gonna be down to the wire time-wise...
